Kelly Drewett
Founder and CEO
Founder and CEO of Kaydee Web, Kelly Drewett, launched the business in 2000 at just 20 years old, with little more than a borrowed computer, the support of her first client, and a growing passion for web design and optimisation.
Over the years, Kelly has honed her craft and worked while travelling the world; ahead of her time in both her understanding of the internet’s potential and her embrace of the freedom remote working allows.
From growing up in a small town in Oxfordshire, dropping out of school, serendipitously getting the opportunity to train in web design at 17 and building a worldwide business with strong, borderless foundations. Kelly’s journey is truly an incredible one.
Deborah Ball
Media Editor
I joined Kaydee Web in April 2023 as Media Editor, focusing on improving media content for client websites, specifically images and graphics, such as logos. The role required training in a variety of software programs, including Adobe Photoshop and Canva, which I found personally rewarding. It’s incredibly satisfying to see how enhancing a client’s content measurably improves their website and the overall user experience.
Recently, I have been creating and refining content for Kaydee Web’s social media platforms. Editing visuals is crucial for producing engaging, on-brand content; it also offers a great opportunity to experiment with and embrace current trends. Additionally, it can be a wonderful opportunity to incorporate some humour into the working day, which we often do!
My career path has certainly been anything but straightforward! I grew up in West London and studied art and theatre, fully expecting to pursue a career in that direction. However, in my early 20s, I found myself in Oxfordshire working in a corporate environment, primarily in project and event management. I then spent a significant amount of time travelling the globe, working and saving between my journeys.
In 2015, I eventually returned to acting and theatre after completing a year-long course in North London and spending a few weeks in Los Angeles. The latest addition to my performance resume has been stand-up comedy, which includes a special one-off gig at the legendary Comedy Store in Leicester Square. I love the phrase “Do one thing every day that scares you” – and THAT certainly did!
As it turns out, my art and theatre experience comes in handy every day, shining through in my design work and helping me create entertaining, engaging and educational content for both Kaydee Web and our clients.
Stevie Roberts
Team Assistant
I came across Kaydee Web whilst looking for work in early 2025, after deciding to leave the corporate environment I’d found myself in and pivot towards work I was genuinely excited about. I hadn’t quite figured out what this looked like yet, but I knew a humanist, creative environment was important to me. I was immediately drawn to Kaydee Web’s ethos and values. From the beginning, I felt we aligned.
I began my journey here as the Team Assistant, an admin-heavy role that includes a little bit of everything, from diary management to invoicing, research and data recording, to daily operations such as onboarding and customer care. The overarching focus being documenting and refining our systems and processes to develop an efficient training system that supports business growth and team expansion.
The role is hands-on, varied, and fast-paced, with many fun and creative elements, including curating social media content, writing sections for our monthly newsletter, and learning about the optimisation process.
As I progressed, it became clear that I particularly enjoyed the editorial side of the job; writing has always been a hobby of mine, but I’d not had the opportunity to put it to use in a professional setting, though this was a bit of a pipedream.
I am now taking on more content-focused tasks, such as editing and optimising pieces of client writing, like blog posts and home pages, and providing more input into our own written content. I am also currently taking an online content writing course, soaking up as much knowledge and training as I can to enable me to move into an editorial role in 2026.
There is a lot of opportunity for growth at Kaydee Web, your strengths and passion areas are nurtured, and your ideas and input are always welcomed. It is clear that Kelly wants you to love what you do and do what you love.
Outside of work, I live with my somewhat unruly miniature dachshund, Travis, in a vibrant, community-minded part of Hull, East Yorkshire. I often get involved in the goings-on in the area, such as clothes swaps, jumble sales, pop-ups at local independents, the occasional open mic, and nearby yoga classes a couple of times a week.
When I’m not swapping, scavenging or stretching, you’ll usually find me watching the latest film or comedy special on Netflix, listening to a podcast, or curled up with a book.
